Tess Kuczynski is Chief Operating Officer at Osler Health. Tess has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare management and most recently, as a corporate leader in business development for a leading regional payer. She also has broad experience in operations, program and project management, compliance and consulting, as well as a clinical background in nursing.
Prior to joining Osler Health as COO, she was Director of Business Development at EmblemHealth, focusing on compliance with the Affordable Care Act as liaison to the NYS Departments of Health and Financial Services, was responsible for the development and life-cycle management of the commercial product portfolio, the strategic lead for several corporate initiatives and corporate-wide merger integration activities.
Earlier in her career, Tess led enterprise and cross-divisional multi-year initiatives at Horizon BCBS of New Jersey. She was also proprietor of a firm providing elder care and healthcare consulting services for an integrated health system and geriatric care management companies. She performed health payer audits and legal case reviews for medical malpractice attorneys. She started off her career as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Trauma.
Tess earned her Nursing degree at Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St. Peter’s College. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania, with a minor in Healthcare Management from the Wharton School of Business. Tess resides in northern New Jersey and has two daughters. She enjoys time with her family, the Jersey Shore, reading, skiing and traveling.
